Arlene Lacombe

Ph.D.

I am a firm believer in the mind-body connection, thus my approach to wellness is holistic. My specialty is in stress management and wellness. Anxiety and depression are two very common stress responses I treat using cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) combined with a variety of relaxation tools such as guided imagery, autogenic training, and mindfulness. Over the course of my clinical experience, I have learned that our common factor is that all individuals need to adapt to changes in life. From everyday stressors, to life transitions and major life challenges, learning how best to cope is key to optimal functioning. My role as a therapist is to help you identify your goals, stressors, and stress responses; identify and help you build on your strengths; and show you effective strategies to help you reinforce resilience and grow as a person. I am a Licensed Psychologist in Pennsylvania. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from St. Joseph’s University, Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from West Chester University, and my Doctorate in Psychoeducational Processes from Temple University. I have treated individuals from all walks of life, from adolescence through adulthood, across a variety of clinical settings from community mental health centers to private practice. I am passionate about seeing the transformative growth in you through our collaborative relationship, and I look forward to working with you.
