I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and I earned my Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling and Psychology from Chestnut Hill College, and my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Temple University. I have experience in the behavioral health field working in community mental health, inpatient psychiatric rehabilitation, inpatient addictions withdrawal management and rehabilitation, and hospice care. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused techniques, ACT - Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness and trauma informed care to best assist my clients in reaching their goals.
I am an intuitive and active listener who finds deep fulfillment in helping others. My capacities for empathy and sensitivity have been lifelong and have led me on the counseling path. I treat my clients with care but full knowledge that it is their journey and I am only the guide. I believe that promoting self-advocacy alongside self-care ismonumental in therapy, and that clients can see their progress most clearly when they have forged the way for themselves.
My experience includes treatment of depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, distress tolerance, anger management, work/life balance, processing losses and grief, stress tolerance, relationships, boundary setting, empowerment, communication issues, experiencing life changes and the importance of self-care for caregivers. I also have significant experience and expertise in the treatment of alcohol dependence and other substance use, relapse prevention, and building a life in sobriety. I encourage my clients to include loved ones in sessions as needed to facilitate change, develop understanding, and increase communication with the people in their lives.
I am excited to join the team at Evergreen and look forward to working with you!
