Monica Lapp

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and family coaching specialist who works with children ages 2-18, and their caregivers. I offer counseling for childhood anxiety and depression, school avoidance, behavioral issues, bullying, and to improve communication skills. I believe a team approach between child, caregiver, and counselor is essential for success. I use evidence proven therapy for families and children struggling with ADHD or defiant behaviors. I coach parents and use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to treat anxiety and depression.

I received a Bachelor’s of Science from Cabrini University and a Masters in Counseling Psychology from Rosemont College in 2001, and I have continued my training and education through The Beck Institute for Cognitive Behavior Therapy. I am a Certified School Counselor Grades K-12 and a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Pennsylvania. I have supported students and families for 18 years inside and outside of school.

Childhood struggles are common but don’t have to be a struggle. My compassion, empathy, and professional experience can help your entire family, while my down-to-earth personality will bring warmth and humor to each counseling session.
