Sara Francesconi is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Creighton University, and a Master’s of Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania. Sara believes strongly in the healing power of connection, and strives to create a safe and collaborative space where clients feel seen and supported while navigating the challenges and complexities of life. Sara recognizes that clients often come to therapy feeling vulnerable and raw and she meets this vulnerability with warmth, genuineness, and compassionate, active listening.
We are all formed by the systems surrounding us, and Sara prioritizes a holistic therapeutic approach so that clients can explore both internal and external sources of stress and growth. Sara welcomes a more open, nuanced definition of grief which considers the pain and loss associated with the end of a relationship, unemployment, a move, doubts related to faith and spirituality, a change in worldview, and beyond. Sara pulls from both relational and behavioral techniques and considers the whole person in her approach. She has specific experience with individuals impacted by trauma, in particular homicide, domestic violence and abuse, and incorporates awareness of the mind-body connection in her work. She is very excited to join the team at Evergreen, and looks forward to engaging with the community.
